Almost Kings Will be “Kickin’ It” At The Grammy Awards On February 11th
Almost Kings, an independent rock band from Marietta, Ga., was selected Thursday by CBS (Interactive) as the winner of the “From Your Garage to GRAMMY® Live” contest. The fan-driven, month-long Facebook promotion offered the band with the most votes an opportunity to play a live, online streaming performance February 11 during the Grammy awards expo in Los Angeles.
Almost Kings was nominated by a fan in early December and beat 916 other unsigned acts from across the country.
Another example of major companies mining the talent of unsigned or indie music artists.
